Surgeons Girl:

I wanted to play with the idea of old Metal being kind of cold but often textured and how that texture could react against the warmth of analog instruments. All the drums sounds are taken from the source material stretched and sliced to create the rhythmic bed which I then overlaid with the harmonic elements. The result is you get this organic movement throughout the track between both the original material and the instruments, all evolving over time. I thought this fitted quite nicely with the theme of upcylcing and the idea of giving a material a new lease of life.
